The overall concept of this new awning as well as the details are part of a systematic formal approach. The round igloo shape with its flowing dynamic forms is thus more reminiscent of a conservatory than a classic awning. Since the frame in the middle part can be adjusted in length, the construction offers a high degree of variability. The materials optimise the use and lead to a reduction in overall weight. Susceptibility to corrosion was eliminated by using aluminium. A durable, breathable polyester fabric was chosen for the roof and the sidewalls. The colours of the window flaps are variable, thus providing visual accents. At the same time they function as blinds and provide shade.
