Mammut Alois Kober GmbH, Kötz Design: designship, Thomas Starczewski, Michael Fürstenberg, Ulm Although small in size, the automated parking system has a great force potential. This is reflected in the design as well as the choice of materials. The unit’s clean, sleek forms underscore its functionality and technical reliability. The parking system consists of two identical drive units that are mounted onto the trailer chassis in front of the wheels, and that press against the tires when in action. The trailer can be intuitively maneuvered by joystick remote control, without a towing vehicle, when on steep inclines, uneven ground, or narrow driveways. The integration of the electronics into the drive unit allows to do without the time-consuming, separate installation of an electronic unit. The compact design of the drive unit creates maximum ground clearance and constitutes a coherent whole with the ergonomically optimised remote control. |
